Day 1-- Arrives In A Raining Day
雖然說愚者第一站的目的地是孟買，但因為班機沒有直飛，愚者選擇了在新德里轉機的華航。由於班機時間，愚者必須在轉機點過夜，所以愚者的第一天就是在飛機上和新德里的廉價旅館度過的。 印度說近不近，說遠不遠，飛機一坐就是7個小時，抵達新德里時已經是半夜。步出機場時，發現1月份不會下雨的新德里居然正飄著難得的毛毛雨。愚者拖著行李，跟隨之前向旅館預約的接機人員走向沒有照明、烏漆麻黑的停車場，一路上因下雨滿是泥濘，空氣裡還不時飄來一股混雜著體味、排泄物和油污味的特有腥臭味…才抵達不到30分鐘，愚者已經開始質疑愚者往後的幾天的存活率… 機場離市區約有一小時的車程，雖然是半夜，路上的車子還是不少，而且喇叭聲不斷，空氣裡的腥臭味始終存在，只是油污味的比重增加了。因為是半夜，一路上除了花枝招展的大卡車之外沒有什麼異國情調可觀賞的，雖然人已經抵達印度，卻沒有想像中到達印度時應有的真實感。 一路上接機人員用嚴重的印度腔英語隨口哈啦了幾句，當時沒想到，這幾句對話在往後的行程裡大概要重複個500次。
P.S.新德里機場到新德里市區的車資大概是US$5，愚者住的那家爛爛旅館一晚約US$9，網路訂房手續費US$2，加上機場稅約NT$400，隔天由市區返回機場的車資又是US$5，轉機點這一夜的這些錢其實是不應該花的。印度網友VJ提供了一個更理想的方式來度過轉機夜，詳情請見印度筆記1—Stay in Airport。
